The Story

The crew of the cargo starship Distono are awakened from hyper sleep by ADAM — the Automated Data Analysis Machine, the ship's autopilot AI. An alien has somehow found its way on board, and it is hunting. The escape pod is your only way out. ADAM will guide you, log your progress, and narrate every desperate moment as you fight to survive.

Echo of the Predator is a game of strategy, teamwork, and discovery. Work together to evade the alien, find what you need, and escape the Distono with your lives.

The Crew

Blue LED
Commander Foxton Read
The steadfast captain of the Distono. Renowned for resilience and unwavering trustworthiness. He faces every challenge head-on with sharp strategic instincts.
Yellow LED
Science Officer Maxx Mitchell
Brilliant engineer and problem-solver. Tackles challenges with analytical precision. Reserved — but his unusual insights suggest deeper secrets beneath the calm exterior.
Green LED
Doctor Lana Dawn
The ship's exceptional medical officer and skilled surgeon. Quick-thinking, resourceful, and unyielding under pressure. A force to be reckoned with.
Red LED
The Alien
Aggressive. Relentless. Its location is tracked by ADAM in real time. In Lights-Out mode, the alien is only visible when it moves — stay alert, or stay dead.

Reading the Board

The game board is the ADAM control center display. Every room and vent has four LEDs:

Commander Foxton's location
Science Officer Maxx's location
Doctor Lana's location
The alien's location

Nothing is hidden. The board shows you exactly where everything is at all times — the tension comes from knowing where the alien is and having to decide what to do about it. In Lights-Out mode, the alien LED only activates when it moves. Keeping track of it becomes your most vital skill.

How It Plays

Each turn a character chooses to MOVE, then chooses to ACT. Moving through the ship risks making noise — noise attracts the alien and triggers a chase. If you're being chased, hiding successfully loses it. Other players can also attempt to distract the alien away from a cornered teammate.

The goal isn't just escape — it's surviving the escape. The more prepared you leave, the better your odds of rescue. ADAM tracks it all.

Actions

Move
Travel left, right, up, down, into a vent, or stay put. You can only move into directly connected rooms or vents. Always know where the alien is before you move.
Hide
Available in any room — not in vents. Each room has a hidden rating that determines your odds. Successfully hide while being chased and the alien loses you. Attribute bonuses found in-game can improve your chances.
Arm
Pick up a weapon if one is present in the room. If the alien enters while you're armed, a fight occurs — the weapon is lost, the alien is stunned for one turn. Each weapon has a strength rating that affects your survival odds.
Distract
Draw the alien's attention to you to protect a teammate. Your success odds depend on how far you are from the alien — closer distracts more reliably. A calculated sacrifice that can save the mission.
Search
Hunt for hidden supplies and items. Each room has a find rating. Listen carefully to ADAM — he'll tell you if there's nothing left. Some crucial items require searching the same room multiple times.
Special
Activate a room's unique function. Many require specific items or characters. Attribute bonuses, key story progress, and secrets are all tied to SPECIAL functions — use it often, and listen to ADAM carefully.

The Ship: 26 Rooms + 4 Vents

Every room has at least one purpose — weapons to ARM, items to SEARCH, and a SPECIAL function. Hide ratings vary by room; some spaces are much safer than others. The Reactor and ADAM Control Room cannot be entered without special access — finding out how is part of the game.

The four fast-travel vents let the crew cross the ship quickly — but offer no hiding spots, no searchable items, and no way to fight back. If the alien converges on a player in a vent, they die. Use vents for speed; not safety.

Your Objective

The escape pod is the main exit — but survival beyond it depends on what you've gathered:

  • Food and water provisions
  • Coolant to keep the escape pod operational
  • A flight plan for the escape route
  • An SOS transmission (dramatically improves rescue odds)

The more of these you secure before leaving, the more optimistic ADAM will be. Escape with nothing prepared and you may survive the ship — but not what comes after.

Easter Eggs & Secret Endings

Echo of the Predator is a game of discovery. There are multiple endings — standard and secret — and many hidden gems drawn from beloved sci-fi films and games. ADAM won't tell you where they are. You'll need to explore, think, and experiment to find them.

Game Options

  • Decision timer: Unlimited (default), 6-second, or 3-second action windows
  • Item placement: Original (recommended for first play) or Randomized
  • Lights-Out mode: Alien LED only activates on movement — for experienced players who want maximum tension
